They just show it picking up cheerios or something accompainied by stupid sounding music-think the vacuum can be demoed better than that.

A lot of minivans have come with air compressors built into the rear area, so I'm not surprised a vacuum would come next. If it's powerful it would be quite convenient to have.

Car Vacs

I really wish more car manufacturers would consider making this an option for apartment dwelling city folk. Many times I want to vacuum the interior of my car without having to find a car wash vac.

No mini-van

Oh! I am not a soccer mom, so a minivan is not an option, haha.

Does it have an electrified hose to use a Wessel Werk HEB160 PN?

Does it have enough suction power for real "full-detail" deep cleaning & to power a turbo brush or is the suction barely enough for quick pick-ups?

Just looking at it

It doesn't look like it would be a very powerful unit. Stretch hoses really cut down on airflow because of the uneven interior surface of the hose when it's extended.

It's most likely just a touch up vacuum.

As a member of a six person family, 2 of which are younger children, you have no idea how useful this vacuum could be. Food crumbs find themselves in all types of corners and awkward places, and immediate access to a vacuum could solve this issue. During the winter, our city uses volcanic rock to deal with road ice, and those things just love to stick to shoes, and always seem to fall off in the car. Yet another mess to constantly clean! I think Honda realizes that this Shop Vac is not for detail cleaning, as something running off 12 volts is not going to be very powerful, but for those who can afford such a TOL minivan, this will be a huge help. It is also my understanding that the Honda Odyssey is one of the best minivans on the market today. My mom has quite a few friends with an Odyssey and they just love them.

I found this link to 2000 Ford Windstar concept with even more appliances. A washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, trash compactor, chill box and a vacuum are were all included, provided by none other than Maytag! If you look closely at the picture of the vacuum, you can see a Hoover logo! A washing machine in a car would be sooooo useful on swimming vacations.......
