Hi everyone,

I just got another HVC200, it was advertised as 'non-working' on Ebay,
so I decided to buy it and try and get it working.
It had no flex, so I fitted one (not in pictures) and it worked, but the bearings sound really bad! So I'm not planning on using it anytime soon.

I've dated it to about 1985, it has no handle sadly, and I think it's been used bagless for most of it's life, hence the bearing issues.

Thanks,

- Joe

Great! I think you should have gotten that NV200 you said you were going to get!
At least you have the original base for your good one now!
Hope you get the bearings sorted!
George:)

Thanks George! Actually it's an NVR200 from about 2003, so not that rare, but I'm getting my loft cleaned out soon, so fingers crossed!

Do you know how to lubricate the bearings a bit?

Joe:)

I'm not too sure but I was told that using WD-40 isn't good to use- I thought that was crazy!

Well, first off WD40 is flammable, so if there was some sort of spark in the motor then it would catch fire, also, WD40 is water based, and dirt gets into it easier.
But thanks anyway :)

Oh, of course! I knew there was a reason, I just couldn't remember! It's flammable!!!!

@uksausage That's very kind of you, what Nuamtic did you get them from? Thanks.

George, thank you so much! Is there anything else I need? Not really, I'm after some more faulty Numatic's so if you come across any just let me know :)
