I recently purchased a Kirby 562 and I am unclear as to the overall color scheme. The latch and handle lock and on and off switch are a metallic color but the nozzle bumper and headlight bumper appear to be a darker tan color, not brown or metallic. The current cord is metallic as well which I'm sure does not fit with the 562 as I have read. I recently found an off white and tan cord on eBay in mint condition which seems to match the headlight bumper and floor nozzle. The bag topper is tan as well with sanitronic written on it but I' m not sure if this should be metallic. The handle is tan. It seems that this probably should be metallic on review of various threads on the 562. Was there two color schemes for the 562 that year?

The 562 (produced 1962-63) was the only Kirby to use an off-white cord, as the subsequent Sanitronic VII (produced 1963-65) used an all-sirocco cord along with the Dual Sanitronic 50 (produced 1965-67).
