I believe I have the best wife ever! Some time ago I discovered a Hoover Commercial vacuum, model EH50500 online at Sam's Club. I don't normally care much about the newer vacs, but this one looked a lot like a decade, had LED headlights, dirt cup, etc. I almost waited too long though as when I went to order one, they were sold out online AND in my local store! I looked to see if I could find one elsewhere but unsuccessfully! I contacted Sam's Club only to be told they were discontinued.....to make a long story short, my wife found one left at another store and got it for me as an early Easter present.

I picked it up today and am tickled to death with it, although I am not sure I will open it right away....if they truly are a discontinued item, this thing will be more valuable NIB rather than opened!

I like it! You should use and enjoy it, you never know what could happen while it sits in the box!

These look so awesome online!!

I have yet to see one in store in a Sam's Club but online they look awesome!! Enjoy, I'm sure you will! I'd love to see a picture of the brush roll. I am wondering if it is the single row white bristle as is on my Decade 80 or if it's the 2 row black. Also curious what the motor amperage is on this and if it has the same Hoover Decade 80/ 800, Guardsman sound to it!

Below is a base plate, agitator view of my Decade 80 U4159. It has the new Hoover steel brush roll with single row white bristles. It does ok, but I'm still curious about the performance with the 2 row black bristle Hoover brush roll or the 2 row wooden CWP brushroll.

Thanks and enjoy. Maybe this is more of a St. Patty's Day gift!!

Speaking from personal experience, I believe you would be most impressed by the performance of either the 4-row Hoover or CWP agitators. I have a Guardsman with the Hoover steel 4-brush agitator, as well as two older Hoover Convertibles with the CWP agitator, and all three do a stellar job of deep-cleaning and grooming my plush carpeting.

Great find! Another rare one. I've certainly never seen these in the wild or even any collectors with one so it must have never sold well.

Steve, that is one awesome gift your wife gave you! What a lucky man you are to have a wife that loves you AND supports your hobby.

I hope you rewarded her with a sexy early Easter gift that only you can give her for being so kind to give you this vacuum to add to your collection ;).

Rob
