Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Kirby G3 and G6 attachment hose assembly part? I bought a used G6 and the hose connector is not on the hose. The replacement cost between the G3 and G6 is considerable. They look exactly the same to me.

Generation hoses

The basic difference is the G-3 & 4 have the rubber gasket on the rim of hose. The G-5 and later have the gasket on front of motor unit. The connector that fits against vac should be available seperately and can be put on the rubber end of any Gen hose if good.(easier if rubber is warm)
