ive abandoned my previous thread about the black and decker dustbuster flexi and im gonna go for an ORB (called ORB-IT here in the UK) as they dont seem to be too bad, they look OK for quick computer keyboard cleans and dining table cleans!! i know these have been mentioned in the ugly vac thread, i just wanted some more info on these!!

Good for you! I have The Orb, keep it charged on my kitchen counter and love it, especially now that I am doing vacuum restorations on the kitchen workbench...er...table again. It's small, stylish, cute and really does the job picking up longhair cat furballs on the floor, and rebuild fragments that inevitably produce grit on the table top...er...workbench. :-) Runtime is only when the button is held down so it seems to last a great deal longer than 8 minutes.

Dave

Yeah I used my friends orb on Monday and it was great for cleaning the office chair/table

The orb looks cool, but I have the Flex and I really appreciate the versatility that having the hose provides... and I do not like holding a power switch on. Of course you have to be happy with what you get so you're entitled to change your mind about what you want :o)

Does the Orb come with a docking station/charger base? The Flex, you have to plug the wire into a little hole and it was be so much easier to have drop and go charging station.

The orb does have a docking station

I find the electrolux z61a to be the best handheld vacuum ever made, has a motorized brush, stretch hose and more suction than a Dyson dc01 Ametek

Yeah tayyab I've considered that but it isn't cordless which really bugs me! Still, tempting though

+1 for the z61a, been thoroughly impressed with mine so far! As you say though, it has a cord
