Nice collection. which one is your favorite?

My favorite would be a toss up between the Sentria and the Convertible

My DC07

My dyson DC07 used to be used weekly by my housekeeper to clean the house and replaced my Panasonic model MC-V7390. it was retired from being used as the weekly driver when I moved into my current house, which was foreclosed for 3 years, and saw that the original owners had left a Dyson DC17 absolute, which had a brush bar motor that sounded like an Oreck XL21, but when the DC17 broke, the DC07 was temporarily used as the weekly dirver to clean the house. I had to purchase a DC07 twice because the first time I bought one, the belt broke the next day and had to be returned to the store. the obnly issues the dc 07 has are the bristles on the other shorter side of the brush bar are worn down, the fill tube comibbng from the head has a tear and is currently held together by duct tape, and the connector that sits at the top of the hose is no longer attached and is secured to the hose with duct tape. other than that, this vacuum works fine.

my Ridgid

My Ridgid wet/dry vac is the one I've owned the longest since I bought it while I still had my Panasonic model MC-V7390. This is specifically used to pick up saw dust and other pparticles that can plug up a vacuum bag or shouldn't be picked up by my dyson (it also is used to clean up water incase my house gets flooded, which has only happened once at one of my previous homes). I've never had my housekeepdr use this to weekly clean my home because it doesn't have a brush roll for cleaning carpets and rugs. the only things I don't like about this vac is that it doesn't have a brushroll, the cord is short, I usually have to carry the hose and vacuum seperately since the hose is bulky, and that I usually can't carry the vacuum from the rear cord wrap since without the power unit coming off of the bin.

my Oreck Ultimate Hand Held

My Oreck Ultimate Hand Held is used by my housekeeper along side my magnesium and is only used for the couches, charis, hard floors, and stairs. this I had to purchase an ultimate handheld twice because the first time something went wrong with my first magnesium and had to be returned to the store (you'll find out what happened with my original magensium in my post specifically about it). the only thing I don't like about this vac is that it weighs more than the magnesium.

Great collection, love the dyson but if you tape up that small hose in the cleaner head, then sometimes it means the head doesn't contact the floor enough sometimes. Just letting you know !
Also love the Rigid, I find shop vacs really useful for the car/ garage etc...

my Oreck Magnesium

My 7.7 lb. Oreck Magnesium is the primary vacuum used by my house keeper along sde my Oreck Ultimate Hand Held. I also used to clean my loft with the Magnesium and the Ultimate Hand Held until I bought Kirby Sentria, with all the attachments (minus the zipp brush) and the carpet shampoo system, off of eBay. I had to buy a Magnesium twice because after 2 or 3 months of use of my first Magnesium, the handle wouldn't lay flat anymore. The only things I don't like about this vacuum is that has troblye getting the hair deep down in the carpet, there is no real carrying handle for this vacuum, the airflow isn't the best, and the fill tube is so small that it will eventually clog.

my Hoover Custom Conveertible

My Hoover Custom Convertible model U4395 is one of my favorite vacs in my collection (and the only vintage machine in my collection) because it has a great sound (especially since the brush always purrs when it makes contact with the carpet or rug) and I can really hear it deep cleaning. This used to be my grandma's, whicjh she used to vlean her upstairs if she didn't feel like dragging her central vac wand upstairs, until she gave to me since she found that the belt was hard for her to change. My Hoover model U4395 is what i use every other week to clean my loft carpet.

my Kirby Sentria

My Kirby Sentria is like Godzilla in the sense that it is powerful. This is the vac I use every other week to clean my loft and to do the stairs, chairs, and bathroom floor when I use the Hoover to clean my loft carpeting. My sentria is a 2012 model, so it has the smaller mini em-tor and the easier to change F style bags. I also use my to, when nesscessary, shampoo my loft carpet. The only time I use my Sentria to clean my whole house is if I have company coming over. The reason why the outter bag looks a lttle frizzy in one area is because my house keeper once used it to clean my whole house (and she didn't know how to use it so she lowered the nozzle to the lowest setting no matter what pile height she was on or what rug she mas cleaning, didn't- I assume - know to unlock the handle from the lowest position - which i use to store the Sentria on its bumper -, forgot to raise the nozzle and turn off tech drive when transporting it, and removed tghe cord from the cord clip when using it [my housekeeper also does that with my magnesium]) and when she was cleaning basement carpeting she used the vacuum with the outter bag near the wall, which is not a smooth wall, causing it to look frizzed. My Kirby is my other favorite vacuum because it sounds great, it's versatille, I can deep clean my stairs with it, I can hear it deep clean, it's metal and very durable, it's reliable, it has excellent filtration, it's very powerful, it's easy to manuever, I can tuck into some tight spaces because of the way the nozzle is shaped, the headlight is very bright, and I can cover more area in less time because of the nozzle width.
