Viking

Looks exactly like the viking I had year ago. I thought they were long gone. I know I can't get Viking bags from any of my suppliers anymore.

That's a Eureka Express power nozzle....funny how they use the old copyrighted brandname for the 1960's bar-less Eureka brush roll: The "Disturbulator"!!!

This is definitely a concoction created by Sweden's Electrolux...:-)

bet it cleans better than the lux

The best of both worlds, the powernozzle is the best and the lux canister a great pair.

European Electrolux

Nice to see this vacuum again. It was very popular in Europe end of 80's beginning of 90's. Ours D740 was with white top and grey body, other hose tube and without power nozzle but with an automatc adjustng carpet/hardfloor nozzle.
Does anybody knows, if it still in production in Canada? Or are this models which were made in Sweden? Does anybody owns such a cleaner?
Here it was known as very quiet, long lasting and made in a high quality. It was the best you could buy in the 80's.

It's a very nice, quiet machine.

The machine itself is made in Sweden.

Are they still available? I have a Viking 748 (?) and would like a source of bags.

Thanks, I'll check it out. The machine I have is a Viking 739, not 748.

Well...

It's kinda ironic that they call this a "modern vac" yet was designed in 1989.
I have an Australian built model from 1990, very nice machine.
