lightweight upright. Local Orlando Sears outlet store had a stack of these new in box cleaners 50% off. So for $75 I thought what the heck. The Progressive works nicely and is very easy to manouver with the swivel neck.

Very pleased.

Progressive Glide

Chevron brush. Cleans, fluffs and grooms the carpet well!

Vacuumlanders who have bought this really seem to have really liked them!!!

Has Sears discontinued them? If yes, I wonder why?

I have one and I love it. It is the best light weight upright I have used. Brian I think Sears has discontinued them because I haven't seen them on Sears website or Kenmore`s website why I don't know.

I hope they have not discontinued them. The only thing I can think of is that somewhere there is a major design flaw that is costing Sears lots of money in warranty repairs. That's really too bad. The Glide did very well in Consumer Reports testing!!!

I think they are neat machines. The power head is the same as that on the red TOL Progressive, except it has a different hood and without the headlight.

I do believe Sears has discontinued them. I don't see them in my local store anymore, and they are not available online as someone mentioned above. Some stores may have display models or returns on clearance, I did see one in my store on clearance recently. I too don't understand why they had such a short product life, I don't think they were around long at all.
