Question 1
Hey there... We have a CB2000 which worked great until my mom left it at a rental property and the tenant blew up the motor :/ I was told that these use the same motor as the older Electrolux CB vacs?? Is it a fairly easy swap where I just match up cables or more than that? Any info would be appreciated.

Question2

I went to a garage sale today and the guy showed me a picture of a vac he wants to sell. Can anyone tell me (maybe) what it is? To me it looks like an electrolux 30 or E but I have no idea. I attached a pic. Thanks

Cheers!
Lexa

I don't think a CB motor will fit in a CB2000, the old CB motor is basically a motor based on a model L mounting bracket and on the earlier models a model L motor and on the later models a model Super J motor, the CB motor is based on a Marquise motor. I have put in a aftermarket Lamb motor in many CB2000's including my own personal machine. You can get an aftermarket Electrolux model L motor bracket and install it on a hi performance Lamb motor, similar motor that was used in earlier Miele's and Whispertone Kenmores and you will have one hell of a beast, the machine will have much more suction and it will last longer than a replacement Aerus motor. As for the machine that is for sale at the garage sale it is a model XXX, judging by the picture it looks to be around a 1948 model, they are a dime a dozen on eBay. Good Luck.

Good source of electrolux parts in Arizona

I use to live in Tucson, contact "Chino" his store is vacman on Congress St.He gets lots of machines and he could get you a very good used motor for a reasonable price.

If the motor will fit depends on the age of the CB2000. The earlier models used the same motor as the plain CB or Super J with a different mounting bracket. Later ones changed to the new style motor, again with a different mounting bracket. You would have to take them apart and see if it is the same motor or not.
