On Hoover's website, the commercial Elite is seen with a hose and tools. Being the industrious person I am, I ran multiple searches through the archives to come to a conclusion. Some say this new Elite's attachment port is merely a spare belt pocket, others say it is indeed an attachment port. What it is I do not know, and I wouldn't put it past the Hoover company to accidentally mix and match incorrect photos. Does anybody have this model and can confirm what the port is for? Thanks to everyone in advance.

P.S: There is no mention of how to use the tools in the manual. (Suspicious)

I just bought one of these the other day since reading on here that Hoover ceased production on them and can confirm it is indeed an attachment port. It didn't come with attachments however.

Awesome! Attachments can always be hunted down later anyway. Once my Kirby sells on eBay I should have the money to buy one. Sadly I am only allowed one upright at a time.

Also

Is it very noisy? I know most Elites are prone to having that plasticy rattle, worn out sound. Does it sound smooth out of the box? Again, thank you for the help.

I will be posting a video of my Hoover C1404 Commercial vacuum for those of you who are interested in getting one. I really like and i recommend that you buy it before they run out. I will post it later in a new thread :)

the last one came off the line. A sad day, indeed.

It's not a quiet vacuum but it's not unbearably loud, at least to me. I swapped out the original brushroll for a wooden CWP one which made it a bit smoother and quieter I think.

Hoover C1404

I just bought one last night from Amazon .com. It is going into my collection. Last week I bought a Hoover Platinum upright with matching small canister. I really like it. It is very powerful for as light as it is. Says it has a 5.5 amp motor. So if the Elite has a 7.1 amp motor, it is probably more powerful. Guess I will find out when I get it so I can compare the two.. Dan

Pardon my language, but damn those poor factory workers must have been pissed! Is it really too much to ask of Hoover to make one model here, where it all started? I bet every body there felt let down. Isn't there rumors of a factory in Texas, though? I guess we'll have to see how everything goes. Thank you for the video sanitaireboy99. It sounds just like elites I have heard before. I will still get one though. mb_1981, is the CWP the four row brush others have talked about? Does it perform better than Hoover's two row?

@ dwhdarren97

Your welcome! I hope you enjoyed my video and my little mini collection that I had in the backround. And as for the brushroll, it has really stiff bristles and i can honestly say that the brushroll makes just as much noise as the motor. Plus it really does beat the carpet and i like the lines that it leaves in the carpet as well.

That's good to hear that it grooms well. It is often times hard to judge noise by video. I just hope I can get one before the supply runs out!

@dwhdarren97

It is indeed a 4-row brushroll. If I had to guess I'd say it probably performs at least as well as the Hoover one. It does a nice job of grooming the carpet too. I included a link to the cheapest I've been able to find it online. Hope that helps.
