That's a Bissel Grand Rapids antique carpet sweeper from early 1900's. I recently found one at a flea market that I bought for $3. I got it fairly well cleaned up but did not get it to function like a sweeper. I only bought it as something to resell. I listed on Craigslist as a collectors antique item similar to what you would find on the wall for decor at a Cracker Barrell restaurant.
A gentleman bought my listing at Christmas time for a relative that likes antiques. I sold it for $30. |

I have two Bissells that are ancient! Ones a Grand Rapids the other is a Universal. Ive restored both of them, new rubber on the wheels, brass screws, repainted the black pieces. The are truly attractive when cleaned up and polished, but even when put back into functional condition they dont sweep that well.
