The one on the left...aproximately what year(s) did they use that color scheme? Make all the models pop the Dial-a-Matic eapecially imo.

That's a great model.

It came with a dark brown bag.  The hood is SIMILAR to the famed 1076,  just slightly deeper/darker.  It is the only model with that lens printing, too.  It also has only the 2 height adjustment.  It is a favorite vacuum, a real WORKHORSE.

The middle one also came with a white bag.  A stripped down model,  but, I believe it has the high-performance motor. I have both versions of that blue upright.

The THIRD cleaner,  hm  I have no info on.  I do notice, that, it is a bit separated from the other 2.

The Hoover Convertible 1060 was made from 1966-1968. The color names are Autumn Gold and Medium and Deep Seal Greige.

THE ONE ON THE LEFT!

That was my mom's!

Wedding present in September 1968, from my grandparents who had the indentical model.

However, they weren't all outfitted with the dark chocolate brown bag. As was explained to me in another thread, there were apparently two different production runs. My grandma had one with the dark brown bag. Mom's was light brown.

... we all love what we grew up with.

But I admit -- I LOVE looking at the rainbow of colors that Hoover used for its convertibles through the years!

Middle Hoover

I love the middle model! It was the vacuum my mom had when I was born & is the vac that started my love of vacuums. My grandmother had the same model & bought one for my mom too. I would really like to find one for my collection someday.

My 1060 is an oddball. While it was Hoovers top of the line cleaner mine is odd in having only a half bumper instead of a full bumper.
Just another little oopsie that slipped out of the factory
