Hi there, I have recently restored my 50's/60's Siemens super vacuum, I stripped down the motor, the bearings were really smooth and didn't need lubricating. The fan had a bit of rubbish stuck in it, but I cleaned it all out. I changed the cord, as the original one was really dirty. Then u repainted the bucket and polished the wheel uppers and front wheel/nozzle, then stripped the top and painted that too. Pics:

terrific!

thanks for sharing these pictures, you did a marvellous job.

Just recently there has been a Siemens of this kind on ebay (see link) with a white "bucket"
I did not know the container base came in polished metal as well.
You even have the blower and sprayer attachment! (Nor did I know about this blower setup at all.)
Great!
Congratulations.

No, unfortunately when I got the vac (job lot of 2, but only kept one) the tools that were pictured with the vacs were not there when I opened them! The only tools they did supply was the hose, sprayer and upholstery brush. And blower port thing. Was a bit disappointed when I realised that all the tools that were in the pic that the guy had we're not there!
