So I was doing some googling of old eureka central vacs, and I came across this in one of the image results on google. Its a Sequoia Central Vacuum system.. referred to as R2D2. I personally have never heard of it. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this type of central vac, as it looks very old to me especially when you look at the inlet on the main trunkline. Any info on this would be great!

Daniel :-)

Sequoia has been building and installing central vacuum systems in CA (I think they're now in Menlo Park) since the 1960's, and the inlet style and metal pipe would make me think this is one of the early ones. They have a few different models (one of which is made by MD Mfg. and private labeled for Sequoia) but this is their most popular, a single-motor bagless machine with a cloth filter. They really haven't changed much at all in 50-some years.

Quite common here in the Bay Area. Very nice machines and the first I had ever used.

I would love to see the attachments that go with this system.

Hmmm, thats interesting to know! I too would like to see the attachments that went with this system. That would be really neat. I've actually never heard of this company before. Thanks for the bits of info!

Daniel :-)
