Has anyone ever ordered a vac from ABC vacuum Warehouse? they have the Hoover Commercial Elite for 119.99 with free shipping. Hoover ,com wants $200.00.

Go for it!

I ordered there years ago. Very fast shipping and decent prices. They sent me a refrigerator magnet with it. The machine I bought was factory refurbished and they extended that warranty through their shop.

They used to sell a lot of vacs on eBay as well. Not sure if they still use that outlet or not. But I do recommend them as a seller.

What do you think about a Professional series.

Same vendor carries the professional series upright. It has the new LED headlight.

Hoover Elite

Looks really nice, but I think I want something light weight, and that one weighs twice as much as the Elite.

Well go for it then. Elites are great. I love them, but when I saw that Professional for only about $20 more, I thought that might interest you.

My profile picture shows me with my Hoover PowerMax Supreme canister which I love. That canister uses the same brush roll as a Hoover Elite. It's a 2 row, Hoover model number 48414081. Hence I know the Elites clean very well, just like my PowerMax.

I've purchased from them before with no problems.

ABC Warehouse...

I've ordered and had a great experience as well, but if you feel more comfortable ordering from a well known name you can get the same machine from Amazon.com for about $3 more. I don't however think you would have any issue with ABC.

Nice one Zach. Amazon has reasonable prices as well.

Here's another site that I love!!! While they don't have the machine that you posted for, they still have a great selection. I've purchased 2 machines from them over the years and highly recommend.

ABC

Thanks for the info everyone. My only concern is I have not owned. a fan first upright for a long time. Should I be worried about breaking the fan if I pick up something I should not have?

Do not worry about the fan, at least not excessively. My family has owned Elites for years, picking up everything from Feline Pine cat litter to popcorn kernels. Elite fans can take it for many years, and are easily replaceable should something happen. Treat the Elite well, and it return the gesture.

I agree with Bagintheback!! Don't suck up pennies or screws but otherwise they can handle a lot. I've used them commercially to clean up apartments from college student move out. If they handle those messes, they can handle anything!!

A minor concern about direct air machines-large amounts of glass or sand can erode the fan blades and or fancase.Otherwise normal useage should present no worries.
