Hi Guys.

I've not been on here much recently due to family commitments, however I've been given some 'daddy time' for an hour or so!!

I've been collecting old Hoover brochures recently, mainly because they are about. The annoying thing is I had lots of these when I was young, taken from Queensgate dept. store in Peterborough, however they were all lost many years ago. So now I'm paying money to re-own things I once had for free...

Needless to say I'm keeping these in almost timewarp condition. They get scanned then filed!

Anyhoo, here we go...

Hoover Commercials

I found a Hoover Lite outside for the bin once. It was ruined but I did like the style, and they are very light! I presume the commercials came before whatever they came to the UK badged up as? Nice scans too!

I just got an in the box hoover module 900 last week still in its box I have yet to open it up and see what condition its in.

I remember that red autoflex turbo power, I would love to get my hands on one.

My mom had a turbomaster complete system for many years though the chassis had to be replaced a few times, it was their biggest weak point. After that I got her a Electrolux Widtrack which I now have in my collection.

Amazing how different some of these cleaners are.

The Portapower, Brushvac, are the same as over here.  That first, black plastic "Junior"  looked horrible!   Not unlike some of the new stuff here, too.

I'd love to get a floor nozzle that flips.  WE never had that over here .

Could I ask that if you do Ryan you create another thread as this one is already very large and VL doesn't have "pages" on the threads to split it up.

Good job I read this, I'm about to scan more in. I will make a new thread for each. I suppose it will made discussion easier, saying `35 pictures up sounds like hard work!

I think putting a date in the thread line may also help. i.e the date of the brochure/year.

If I know the exact year it would help, a lot of my brochures are dateless, and dates have never been my strong point!

Well the date on the very back page of my Hoover Floorcare brochure is down the side; states 4/92 on it.

Also I have a Hoover cleaners brochure from 1987. Shows a few similar pages to the one you've shown with the Powerplus and Junior, though the one in mine is the one we had (dark brown bag). There are also a few different Sensotronic cylinder vacs by colour and with the Electro Kinetic power nozzles instead of the Turbo 300 shown in yours. Strangely though some of the model numbers match the ones in your brochure but have different colours.
