I am in search of a Hoover Dimension 1000 canister vacuum hose. Hoover model .numbers: 43433087-- 7.5' hose or 43433080-- 6' hose.

This would be for a blue Hoover Dimension 1000 S3277. Hose must be the non gas pump style with suction regulator valve on front handle. This is an electric hose with no electronic buttons or controls on it, and is 2 prongs going to suction unit with 2 prong outlet rectangular outlet for power nozzle wire.

Hoover had 3 hose materials, I prefer only 2 of them.

First would be the ultra heavy original style which is probably a blue colored hose with blue handle and gray colored suction regulator. ****Finding this style would be FANTASTIC!!!!

Second would be a medium duty heaviness. This tended to be used on many 6' lengths and is a grey color. It was the standard hose material used on the Hoover Futura power nozzle equipped canisters. This hose had a tendency for permanent kinks, being unflexible and a little awkward. ***I would prefer NOT to get this one.

Third was the straight black smooth finish lightweight very flexible hose material. The same hose material used on later Hoover PowerMax series canisters such as S3607 and it was used on all original series Hoover Windtunnel canisters. ****This hose would be just fine.

New or used doesn't matter. As long as wiring connections are not burn, it is reasonable cosmetic condition, no tears, no holes, no duct tape, and hopefully the suction regulator valve stays solid.

Pictured below would be the original style blue hose that is 7.5' long and gives an example of what it should look like.

Thank you all very much for your help!! Feel free to respond to this thread or send me a personal message via this site or email and we'll talk prices for shipping and hose!!

The Hoover in the picture above is my parents and is in South Carolina. I recently got a Hoover Dimension 1000 for myself off of Craigslist. The hose is in very bad condition.

Not really sure why I have to explain myself as to wanting to buy a product. I'm not looking for a gift. I will buy a hose that hopefully someone is looking to sell.

Thank you very much.

Well, I have a hose, BUT...

It is the one that you would not prefer. It is in fair shape, both contacts look good, still flexible, no leeks or tears, and has a few minor kinks. I guess if no one else has one this could be your plan B. I would be happy to sell it to you.  Will you be posting any pictures of the machine?

Hope this helps.

Scott

PS. I have a few more detailed pictures if you would like to see them.

Hi Scott!

LOL!
Thank you posting, I'll definitely keep in mind. I'd like to wait a little and perhaps one of the 2 styles will appear. I do sincerely appreciate the offer it's quite tempting but I'll take a rain check for a little bit.

It appears to be in great condition.

Yes I will be posting pictures soon of the Dimension, it doesn't look good for the power nozzle on it, but I have another member on here who is already in the process of getting another Quadraflex that's an exact match for this machine in shape, so I'm too worried. It would have been since to save the other, we'll see. It got quite beat up. The suction unit sounds great, I do have to do a bit of cleaning for it.

Overall I still made out well, I only paid $10 for it. The chrome wands alone in gorgeous shape are worth that much!!

Wow...now those were the days.... a 7.5 foot hose. Vacmakers don't realize how it helps to have a decent length of hose to work with when using a canister.

I think one of the new Swedish Electrolux canisters (the Ergospace 4100) comes with a 9 foot hose - which is great!

@eurekaprince..

That is one of the reasons why I love my central vac. I use it with the standard NuTone 372 hose mainly, and I love having that extra long light weight length of hose. My old shop-vac, same as beerad's, has a 9 foot hose as well.

Daniel :-)

Sorry for my delayed response. Please let me know what you come up with. I'm still debating the gray one and am appreciative of the one that SingingRainbow has posted.

The gray style hose material reacts differently cold temperature and likes to gain permanent kinks and out of shape conditions. I have experienced this as the gray material Hoover hose is the same one used on my parents Hoover TurboPower 5000 S3577 canister and Hoover PowerMax S3603-040 canister. It is also the same hose material to the one that has completely broken and is in bad shape on the Dimension 1000 now which has prompted me to post this thread. This is in turn hold up of not yet proceeding with the gracious offer for the gray hose.

The black material which Hoover used on later Hoover PowerMax Canisters and all of the original generation Windtunnel canisters was a replacement for their flawed gray material and was very successful. I wish Hoover still had canisters available on the market today with that black hose material!!

EurekaPrince, you're quite right. I wish more manufactures had longer length hoses. I do recall that a few years ago Kenmore offered 8' hoses on some of their machines, it made them easier to work with.
