Ok, so this is the thread for all things numatic. If you have an old Henry or any other kind of numatic, please feel free to share photos of them here. From now on I will only post numatic related things here, because recently I have being creating lot's of numatic type threads, so this is going to be the last one (I promise), sorry if it got on anybody's nerves, I'm pretty new here, I just love vacuum cleaners! and would like to chat about them :)
Thanks for understanding,

- Joe

Yeah, the second link works but the first one doesn't for some reason.

thats an old numatic NV250 with the top re-painted, same as mine but mines in much better condition!!! this was one of numatics first machines, sold as the caretakers vacuum but soon re-named the all-metal machines. could be from the mid-late 70's, but seeing as it has a type sticker on the top theres every chance it could be from the 80's.
as for the James, ive always prefered the old one for some reason, but i suppose like i said in another thread i'm warming to the autosave feature....
btw if you are wondering where i got it from someone gave it to me who just happened to be sales manager of Numatic UK.....

No worries. I've got a big box folder full of vintage Numatic brochures that they sent me years ago when I used to be obsessed with Numatic vacs. Will upload a few more when I get a chance

also could you buy that hose storage thing for nv250s seperately or did it come with certain models?also mine is older as it has the blower port centrally on the back and a black switch.

Post# 209410 , Reply# 29   12/10/2012 at 12:11 (4,126 days old) by ryry_87 (Earth)

the hose carrier was an optional extra on the 250's. I have an accessories brochure somewhere. I think they still do the hose holder actually

A lot of the ones on my youtube i've sold over the years so haven't got that many now. I've currently got a Nuvac (old white 3in1 not the latest ones) red top NV200 and my 1990 Henry which i've had since I was 3. This was my Numatic collection back in 2008..

I want a gold Henry, how cool is that! Well done Ultimatevacman for posting the link, that's made my day. Interesting that it has 2 accessory clips, I always thought the mere one we get here is a bit mean.

Cream & Brown Henry's are truly lovely things, the hose should normally be brown too. I always liked the way Numatic colour keyed everything, it just makes them feel special. I currently want to find some cream tools for mine.

Merry Christmas

Dave

Ultimatevacman,
Here are the pics of the old style Numatic logo I said I would get for you.

First pic is of the old motor out of my George, it is the original model George, mine is from 1993.

I also found this picture of an old industrial looking Numatic, with the old logo.
Looks like it might have been used to dry hard floors after cleaning.
Would love one like this!

If it has been used commercially then anything is possible. When the motor sections break down, the cleaners are often seperated and the top sent for repair. In the meantime another top is often fitted to the original bottom. That's when the cleaners get mixed up.
