Does anyone know why certain Electrolux cleaners were branded 'Electrux'??

Corporate shorthand as far as I know, my 1970s 303 was branded Electrux on the rating plate.

Apparently 'Electrux' was used on cheaper models from 1947 onwards, although it had been registered years earlier.

They started to use it so that the could sue another company, Electrix, for infringement!

Ah, right, very interesting...still strikes me as wierd, though...like if Hoover called their Junior models 'Hoers' or something :S
