Hi Scott.
I've been out of commission for a while. Did the hotel where we had the 25th anual convention ever get that Electrolux C-A to you as I asked them to? Did you guys survive the devistating fires that were in the area last year?, and do you by any chance still have the C-A? I don't need it yet, just want to know that it's safe.
I'm in a part of Pa. where we didn't have access to the internet till a hub opened up in September. Now I'm back on line, and back in the club. Alex Taber. | ||

Wow!
I have never seen so many GE vacs in one place! Beautiful collection - including GE's unique electric carpet sweeper. All you need is the hard-to-find slimline Singer-like upright and the easy-to-find GE "Portapower" compact vac clone and the collection would be perfect! A few more regular GE floor polishers (green, blue and chrome) would round out the display too.....had a green one as a child and got to play with it lots! :-) Loved those squarish GE canisters with the top-side tool box. Such a simple and easy-to-use design for tool storage! Did they easily fit on stairs without turning them on their rear end? | ||

Fantastic!!
Looks like everyone had a great time! Lots of uprights, lots of canisters!
I love all of the things that you all did such as the "Guess that attachment and bag" games, cleaning contests, etc. Very creative and educational. The Eureka Widetrack ESP and Golden J look terrific! I would have to agree that the Electrolux PN2 puts out a lot of power!! I hope all of the vacs were claimed in the end. Looks like a nice collection of Celebrities and a Hoover Spirit for someone to take home!! | ||

GE Cleaners!!! GEs are really great,and I think highly under rated by collectors, I love them, and im glad to see some other guys like them, Those U4 uprights are hard to beat!! | ||

Great Pictures Will
I especially like the picture of Sean and I we were so focused on getting the Dial-A-Matic back together. Sean reminded me of some things that I had forgotten, while I was reassembling it. It almost fell to the ground but luckily Sean was there to catch it. Sean has such a nice collection of General Electric vacuum cleaners. I love all of the swivel tops and the G.E. uprights.
We all had a wonderful time. The camera doesn't lie. Thanks for posting the pictures Will.
And I just wanted to add that I recently received a General Electric upright from Phillip, Thanks Phillip! And an Electrolux Guardian from Jay, Thanks Jay! And some of the prize vacuums in Sean's contest, Thanks Sean!

all we did have a blast. the south central group of collectors from kansas on south have been doing more frequent and elaborate mini meets this year. i co-hosted this one, and was my third of the year. once i'm in my own place, ill for sure host one of my own! there are so many wonderful collectors in the south central area, to whom i owe many thanks for over half of my collection (and every single one of my hoovers except one). i am super excited about going to milwaukee next year in my country squire station wagon!
