When I was a kid in the 80's I went over to friends and saw a strange foot rest.

My friend took off the lid off the top that had a vynol lining on the top and saw it was a vacuum cleaner I thought it was a great idea to have a vacuum built into the furniture.

It was cube shaped and was beige or caramel colored . Does anyone know anything about this vacuum and have info and pics? As I tried looking on google but don't know who made the item

At one time many vacuum cleaner companies made hassock style cases to store the vacuum and tools in between uses.Lets see-Compact-TriStar,Electrolux,Lewyt,and so on.

Hi Matt,

Seeing your based in OZ I'm sure the machine your thinking of is the National Capsule MC3000F it came in a number of colors. I have one in storage back in Sydney.

The below link has a picture of the one I referring too.

Cheers
Mark
