Evan, I would keep that Royal if I was you! They are amazing cleaners! I think if you do sell it, you're gonna regret it later. It's also one of those vacuums everyone needs in their collection, same as a Kirby or Hoover. Just something to think about.

Maybe it needs a new brushroll. My Royal barely cleans, and I believe that is the source of the problem.

yes the brushroll is definatly worn out.

I think Royal motors are so powerful that they wear down the brushroll too quickly. How many amps does your Royal have? I have a 10 amp model 4000.

I think mine is 8 amp
