Hello,
I was wanting to know if anyone could suggest as easy way to remove the outer bag off the unit of my hoover convertible u4409. The plastic latch wont budge.. im afraid to bang it with anything i dont wanna break it. Would spraying the spring with w-d 40 help?

I would soak the shaft where the white lever is going through with WD-40, then get a nut driver or something with a blunt edge and on the white lever as close to the shaft hit it over with the palm of your hand or a small hammer, make sure you hit it as close to the shaft as possible do not hit the lever itself it will break off. After you get the bag off clean the lever with Fantastic or 409 to get the WD-40 off of the lever, the WD-40 has a reaction with the plastic and it will weaken it in the future. Good Luck.
