Hi Philip
And welcome - I think we have met previously on AW. The simple answer is yes, you should. These are wonderful old machines that (obviously) will go on for years and years and years. Personally I think the 612 is also the best sounding machine and of course you have a long family history with it. Its just a shame that you are posting this today as as myself and some other collectors were actually down in Cornwall, sadly helping another collector liquidate his collection. There were quite a few spares and whilst I cannot answer for brushroll strips there was almost certainly a shake out bag or twelve which would have suited as long as you have the flange from the old one. By the way if the original bag is still reasonably intact it is possible to use a disposable bag inside if it is just for occasional use - this is a good idea anyway as dust left lying in the bag will rot it. But for starters have a look on the link - its tailor made for you :) Al CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacbear58's LINK |

Silly boy, of course we, or at least I, have heard of Vactric! I presume that you have the Junior model with the bag on the front? It uses a flat belt and i have used, I think, a Panasonic belt - no chance of getting a vactric after nearly 63 years out of business.
