I am helping a friend to service his Eureka power nozzle. It is a VGII Roto-Matic with the headlight in the center. I have removed all screws but the motor will not free itself from the housing. I am curious as to what is holding it down. All screws have been removed, the agitator is removed, headlight housing removed and air duct/ wand assembly removed. I want to clean the housing and remove dirt stuck around and inside the motor.
Below is a googled image of the exact power nozzle that I am servicing. ***FYI*** I have worked on a few of the full width headlight w/ belt view RotoMatic power nozzles and they are a cinch. However, I am not sure what the situation is with the one stated above. Thank you so very much!!! |

Power nozzle motor number found a sticker on the back says 1239 B, 1.8 Amps. The motor is solid white color, smooth rounded sides. Bolts to disassemble the motor are in the front on either side of the drive shaft. There was one screw under the headlight area, supposedly to hold the motor to the housing and it has been removed.
The motor wobbles quite loosely in its place but does not pull out of the power nozzle housing. I see no snaps, plastic latches or hardware holding it in place. Thank you to all!! Robert T. Shore |
