Nice finds there, Cody!! Especially the Royal Metal upright. How much did you pay each for these treasures, & did the Royal come with it's outer cloth bag??

I gave $5 for both :) No bag for the royal! Both run well but are in need of a "spa treatment".. I am searching the web right now for a replacement bag...

Does anyone know what bag the royal would have had on it from the factory? Color wise.

That royal would have had an orange bag to go with the cord. Are you planning on going with a shakeout or disposable bag system?

Depending on the year it could have been a Grey colored bag, or a red colored or even an orange colored bag. A perminent shake out or disposable bag system is available for the for the all commercial Royals. Some machines were the "commercial" series some were the "Duke" series. The Duke series had a Red bag.
the Older Commercial series had a grey bag and the newer commercial series had an orange colored bag. Yours having a "commercial" Orange colored cord I would say yours would have the orange colored bag. Unless the cord was a replacement.

Cody, you got a GREAT deal on you Royal! $5 dollars for a machine that's only 4 years old, you practically stole that Royal. The correct bag for your Royal would be the orange bag that's on current models.

If I was you, I would get the shake-out bag, though. Why? Because the shake-out bag has the black top-fill tube inside....this allows you to use Royal Style B bags if you wish, or you can use it as a shake-out bag, & you have more versatility. It also has the benefit of not having any zipper to replace- just slide the clamp off to change your bag or empty it, & it also costs a few bucks less than what you will pay for a zipper bag. Try to find a good second-hand one on Ebay, though....Royal bags are VERY pricey to buy new from a dealer. The zipper bag costs just under $125 CDN when I checked earlier this year.

Have fun with your new Royal, Cody!

Rob

Cody,

You can find the orange bag on http://www.hescoinc.com, reasonably priced. For some reason you need to include the, "www"......go figure!

The grey one pictured states that it is available in orange. Part number is R-066248.   The orange one on the left is also a zippered bag that takes a paper bag.
