Very interesting power head setup for a Kirby G4. Intuitive, interesting thought process. Does this tend to rev up the Kirby motor at all since the Central is pulling more air through the fan chamber of the Kirby?
The Hoover Convertible idea, sounds really cool, too!

What kind of central vacuum is your Kirby being used with?I don't have a central vacuum-so the closest thing I can use is my NSS M1 "canister" vacuum.the combination does get more stuff out of the carpet. When I take the floor-carpet nozzle of my Sentria-the NSS still on-the Kirby fan is turning! And tried the combo with the hose-WOW!!!Try your Kirby on the Central vac with the Kirby hose and see how it does. The disadvantage to these setups is slight dust-dirt leakage at the Kirby hose connector that is on the discharge part of the Kirby.Have to dust it off in between uses.

I bet this could beat a Riccar Radiance.

i have ny vacuufko system. dont know what model it is, but it is from 1997 i think. yes the vacuuflo system does rev up the kirby motor. when the kirby is off and the vacuufly is on, the fan turns really fast.

I have a Riccar Radiance-and my NSS-kirby combo beats it.Bet the Vacuflow and Kirby would beat the Riccar as well. With the NSS-Kirby monster vac-you can use the Kirby hose if you have a second one.you would need a second Kirby hose for the Vacuflow Monster vac, too. The Riccar Radiance has a considerbly smaller second motor then the NSS or the Vacuflow.I have to run mine on separate circuits-otherwise trips the breaker(15A).The total draw of the Riccar is something like 12A-each motor in the Riccar is 6A.And if you use the hose on the Riccar-it is running on the 2nd motor only.

I always thought it would be interesting to "daisy chain" several Kirbys together, with the exhaust of one feeding into the intake of the next, and so on. Think of it as a multi stage fan!
Just make sure your power supply in your house could handle the wattage!
