John
The 4003 was sold here for a short period in the mid 1970s alongside the US manufactured Constellation 868. I believe that they may have been brought over during a strike in the UK. These have been discussed before and I recall that the Connies were actually built in 1970 (but not sold then), I am not so sure about the 4003 - I think possibly 1973, Curiously they (both) also came with the full US tool set as well, not with UK manufactured tools Al |

If the starlight was made in the UK, it must be the Convertible cleaner I am thinking of which was French. Sorry. |

Ryan: Not a smart move admitting on the forum your Filter Queen is a Daily Driver. You better find a modern Hoover to use as a daily driver & keep the Filter Queen in the closet, before John Long comes over to England to personally lecture you, LOL.
:-) John: We KNOW what you would do to a non-Hoover....and that's why you aren't coming anywhere near my collection! LOL Rob |

Funny to see the "made in USA' sticker on yours. Too bad someone banged that handle under a bed or something. Nice to see a little piece of our beloved North Canton 'across the pond'. I'd love to get a 'senior' someday. I have 2 'juniors' and a few of the big commercials, but, a nice 'senior'..not necessarally a ranger, but..............
And, remember: I have 'my people' looking out for those non-HOOVER items. |
