This is a new series that Hoover is bringing out. They are ditching the Guardsman black line and moving to the red Professional series. John Gregory of Sweeper Central--a Hoover specialty store even says and has one on his floor of a Convertible style one coming back. It's also red with a red hood too!

Could this be the return of the Convertibles? I can't believe these Professionals look like Sanitaires. Are they still USA made? Hopefully by year's end, I hope to buy one soon. |

Mr. Mom-- The yellow hooded dirt cup model at Sam's Club has been there for atleast 9 months.
The Red series is newer. I was surprised but they are not available on Hoover website though. I imagine they will be shortly. I am very glad that the headlight is back on the Decades. It's red, but a different red from Sanitaire. I guess Hoover didn't want them to look like the older style Orange commercials or current black line. I'm sure John Gregory- Guardsman will find this thread soon and add more detail!! |

guardsman69, any hint as to when the new commercial models will be released?? :) are they similar to the professional series? And ya, are they making household convertibles? This would really put Hoover back up there. |

Convertible MADE HOOVER'S fortune. It lasted 40 years. Some models were cheapened, true. But.................. Yes, perhaps even a new, revised version could/should 'put HOOVER back where it belongs". I hear that it is to be made back HERE... as, I heard, all machines will be made here once again. I HOPE that's true. We'll see.
