I had been working on this in Auto Shop for the last week. My Great-Grandfather had wanted to restore it when he got feeling better, but it never happened and he died from the aneurysm in his brain so I tackled the project head on and it is almost done except the lid cracked and i need to get a new one

The Other Side

Where the logo was on that side I'm going to put "In honor of Jack LeRoy Melton"

Tyler, that looks great!  I wish I had those kind of painting skills.  Are you doing that as a class project or just for fun?  What a nice tribute to your Grand Grandfather too.

I did that to learn how to sandblast and powdercoat

Starry, starry nights....

That's what I thought of when I saw this, and I'm sure a shrink would make something of it! Anyway Tyler, awesome job!

Tyler, that turned out very nice!! I guess all of us here on Vacuumland know where to turn now to get our vacuums painted, LOL.

Kirbykid- That sucks your Grandparents threw out the Compact, but they probably didn't know you would have wanted it. I'm sure you'll find another one soon.
