I was a little surprised to see this, because I don't think Tristars were ever sold in our area. Because it ran perfectly, all I did was clean it up and install new filters. The Filter Fresh basket was already there with the paper filter only. This Tristar has six stages to it's filtration system: The paper bag, the cloth bag, the pre-filter for the motor, then in the Filter Fresh basket, the foam filter, the paper filter, and the charcoal filter.

Great find!!! Curious how the sweep & groom works also. My 2 were "rescues" also. lol | ||

The Sweep n Groom is a great power nozzle! It does a great job of agitating and grooming the carpet. The brush stiffeners also make it easier to push across the carpet. The nozzle won't fit a Tristar wand, but I was lucky enough to have a Eureka wand with two holes so that it would fit a Tristar hose. The Hoover Quadraflex power nozzle is also excellent. | ||
