My First Fantom Thunder. I bought it in November 2009. Not only was it my very first fantom, but it was also the first vacuum for my collection. We went to the guy's house, and at first I was a little disapointed. It did not have any of it's attachments, the hepa filter was missing, the clip for the dusting brush was broken off, the lights didn't work, and it had the usual scratches and scrapes. It worked ok, so my mom bought it for me for twenty dallars. Now, nearly three years later, I'm into collecting more than just fantoms. This fantom is on it's second filter, since I had it, I bought new attachments for it, and I was able to paint over some of the really bad scratches. I took off the faded "thunder" sticker, which was stupid. I had the cord replaced, as it was badly cut. I made the mistake of checking the belt myself, and I couldnt get the brush and belt back on, so it's been in the shop twice, not because of the machine, but because of me. Anyway, it's my baby, and as beat up as it looks in person, It cleans up well!!!

Yea, I know, but again, I felt it was too "revealing". I really like vacuumland much better though. I will post pictures of my other vacuums though, and I'll explain about each model.

To be curious, are Korean Bissells better than Chinese models? My Powerforce Turbo is a Chinese-made model.

Bissells...

The Korean ones are WAY better than the Chinesse ones as the build quality is better and the overall performance is better.

That, and so are the older Bissells.

I'm not sure. I think my old powerforce was pretty sturdy. My heavy duty which is a healthy home is pretty sturdy too. The powerforce was Korea and the heavy duty is Chinese. Since I haven't used that many of them I cant tell the difference in quality.

I didn't know your old Powerforce was Korean. Was it Korean due to the controls and design? I know the Chinese models were cheaped out.

It was korean, as it said on the sticker. It was made in late 2007, so perhaps bissell was still korean then. I would much rather support america though, especially in today's economy.

Late 2007? Wow I was 11 when Bissells were still Korean.

I agree, we should all support America.
