Change from the wire reinforced hose to go to the cheap looking crushproof? I sure wish I could find at least one of the early hoses. I have an awesome maroon Tristar dated 1984 that is a single speed cross over model that says CXL but also says model C-9. I'm told it was a cross over model when the change from Compact to Tristar happened and then the red 2 speed was the official "Tristar"
