What is the current pricing for the Kirby rebuild on the G series machines? I have the owners manual for a G 5 and haven't seen any thing listed in it about the rebuild policy much less price. For the pre Heritage series the cost was listed with the information on the rebuild / replacement information In the owners manual. I just had my Heritage II rebuilt that was $99.00 plus the $10.00 cost of the rebuild policy. Do you still have to purchase the rebuild policy like you did with the heritage models?

As far as I know the 'Factory Rebuild' pricing is only for original owners. I have heard that you can still have the vacuum rebuilt by the factory but at a higher price. If there is an 800 number in the owners manual you should just call it and get the number for the Rebuild Center. That way you will know how much it will cost and if there are any rules or extra costs.

Hmmm, this is interesting...

It's neat to read rebuild prices. I do Kirby rebuilds myself at work and have a pretty standard/reasonable price for this that my boss (Kirby distributor) told me to charge. In a few cases I've coordinated rebuilds through Kirby Rebuild Dept, but I was given a different rate for the customer provided some special circumstances regarding the Kirbys and the fact that I was able to speak directly with Lou Varardi who is the manager over the manager of the rebuild department. He wanted to provide a great rate to the customers of these machines because of the circumstances necessitating the rebuilds.

PS...

If anyone from the Kirby Co. reads this...Lou really provided great service and did right by some long time Kirby owners and as we say "members of the Kirby family".
