Here is a great thrift store find the other day. An old refubished Electrolux Model E by Metropolitan!! The box says with Metropolitan parts.

Metro parts

Make that Crappy Metropolitan parts! I'm glad they had the good sense to keep the Lux wands instead of using plastic wands. I'm going to find real Lux tools to go with this vacuum.

Front/Rear

I like how they polished the front bag cover instead of painting it hammertone blue. I wonder what a Lux of this generation would look like all polished chrome with light blue logo?

The rear cord halo is a Metropolitan halo. There was a Metropolitan vacuum on ebay recently with the same halo. I wonder why they didn't just use a Lux halo? The holes for the screws are still there if i want to change the halo later on.

Marty that machine looks to be in great shape, the way the bag cage looks you know that there has at least not been any water in there. Keep us posted as you make it all "pretty"!!
