I just need to vent, vent, vent. Wait till you see what I sold for how much. Had to come inside and cry for a moment. Spencer Turbine Jr. Only one around, had for 22 years, sold for $50.00. Eureka Model M, both running perfect sold for I think $10.00 or maybe it was $15.00. Goodby my old friends...

Just think, you made some one very happy and I am sure who ever got them will enjoy them for many years to come, so hopefully that will take some of the salt out of your wounds thanks. Zach

hopester,

I was interested in purchasing that Eureka Model M and I thought you were going to hold it for me since I asked you to. Not trying to be rude or anything. Do you still have the Hoover 913 and Hoover 150? I'm still interested in those. Please let me know how much you want for those and if they are still available.

try setting a reserve. That way, you won't end up 'giving anything away'.Just a thought.

Hope, you're not going crazy. Nobody likes to give up anything valuable for what amounts to peanuts! Just know that at least you made a fellow collector happy, & they have good homes. And right now you're doing what you need to do to raise some money for yourself. Just try to stay positive & look forward to better days ahead, & you'll be ok.

Rob

thank you from hopester

Thanks everyone, I'm over it. I was just having a bad moment. I thought about it and I was crazy at that moment not to try and get them to take more. Like I said in the thread FREE. It all has to be gone by the 11th. I just don't know what to do hear any more, every were I look there is a mess. I don't have a car or truck anymore so I'm having one hell of a time getting boxes just to ship some of these things out to you guys. I have never been a (I can't) person. I feel so lost these days. I need a job, and a little self worth again. I found some pics of the old shop maybe I will post some later on. Dam how the years go by so fast, in a blink of an eye 10 years have come and gone and your still standing in the same place os thow you have never moved. What have we done with all the time. Peace to you and yours everyone.

Hopester

It will get better hon......

It will get better....these guys are right on! You are taking care of things and that is what these old machines represent don't they? A vac builder cared enough to do the hard work to make a machine worthy of its name. The same is true of life..we do what we must to survive and enjoy becoming who we are day by day---and trials are a part of that journey. I'm sorry for bein preachy kiddo--but I want you to know that I have survived years that I just thought I couldn't. And I had to let go of a lot....and you know what? All of those things that go away come back in a new and better form! And look! What friends we find along the way! You are young...and your best years are right in front of you! You are going to be OK...and You just know that girl...because you are made of the "right stuff"..just like those vintage machines we all love.

I absolutely agree

"...made of the right stuff"

Judging from that profile pic of yours I would never have guessed that you might take your products seriously or like some posts above that you might be squeezing some tears over "good old friends".
Hut ab! (=hats off, a German saying used to pronounce respect)

That IS the right stuff, whether you will be selling vacuums and be feeding unknowing people with your knowledge or whether you will be selling popsicles or whether you will be cooling wounds of severely hurt people as a nurse. It all doesn't matter as long as you live for what you do.

I could see different motors and parts on some of your pictures, neatly catalogued and model tagged. Anyone who has got more than a vague feeling about what it is to keep parts organized will definitely know that you DO care.

So don't frown, you will always fall back "auf deine Vorderpfoten" (on your front paws).
A thing like that is God-given. And the cats' goddess was Basht (Baas) or however you might want to call her.
All the best!

Ach! As we're at it: Do you happen to have some nice US models but as a 230 V version?
More than eager to buy there.
Joe
