I got this Bissell from a kirby dist.   I have never seen this model before and it won't sell on ebay.Have any of you seen one of these before. Reminds me of the bosch I had one time.  17G5-2 is the model number.

They use to sell them on HSN I think, they looked quite decent and powerfull. They too remind me of the Bosch your thinking of!
Hope someone turns round and buys it from you.
Jake

That is interesting, a bit ugly though.

I must say I LOVE the look of the UK Bissel Turbo Force.

It is a bagless but just looks brilliant, goodness knows why!

I was chatting to the bissel guys here in SA , its a very nice model, i am not to sure if they are bringing it out here but I sure hope so, I love the fact thats the container is on the back of the machine.

Ben what is the power like, does it have good agitation?

Gareth

It has excellent suction and as far as the rollerbrush agitation it does a fine job! I liked the fact it came with all the extras

Isn't that the Bissell Prolite? I recall seeing those at a Target some years ago...

Lowe's sold those not too long ago. I was gonna ask if you looked at Bissell.com, but Blackheart is way ahead of me, his link is to the page on Bissell where you can download user manual, etc.

Save from the hose at the front, it looks like s copy of Dirt Devil's Room Mate electric sweeper.

The dirt devil powerlite had a hose, and looked very similar to the roommate. I can also see a resemblance.

Wow I've never seen one with a hose - in the UK the Room mate only sold without a hose and they didn't sell for very long. How exciting! I always liked the Room Mate - a terrific design and utterly compact!

This was actually more like a full sized vacuum, as it had dirt Devil's swivel casters and a 12 amp motor. Here is the webpage for it from the Wayback machine.

I have had it a while now, I assumed that when I first saw it that it would bring about some interest but instead no one

seems to like it. It does have very good power and its quiet!

Ty for the link - and good to see (whenever the date of release was) that it has a brush stop roll function on the floor head.

I could just post a new thread, but since this is a new Bissell in the UK, the Bissell *4625e Febreeze Floors & More,"  it is an unusual looking upright vacuum cleaner and has the strangest (and daft to me) side suction channel theory, where you take the crevice tool onto the hose and then insert into the side dust channels so that the vacuum can clean up to the edge. I don't see why this is really required when vacuums generally have side suction channels anyway.

I think these are still sold in stores?

The Target & HEB Plus! stores have them in stock.

Bissell

Yours looks nice and complete. The only other I have seen was brought in for service from an office building with fine dust and grit.Perhaps becaure it had the word 'proffessional' on it they assumed it would do anything with no care or maintenence.By the time I saw it,it was not worth repairing.

I love this Bissell!

I always used to want one but the high price always drove me away at my local Lowes.
