I rarely find vacuums around here that are super nice, and this weekend i stumbled upon on.
For $10 Salvation Army was offering this gorgeous, completely all original (yet dirty), Eureka Automatic.
This is the model with 2 speeds, Square handle (ie: made before 1960), and chrome accents. I could not have been happier!
When i got it home i took a closer look and could not believe the condition. The bag has no rips, tears, ect. The cord is original, no cracks or breaks whatsoever, and the rubber feet on the pedal are still intact! Not to mention there is no paint loss on the base, handle, or otherwise.
Let me know what you think! :)

Now now, I mustn't get too excited about this seeing as it isn't a Hoover, but...

WHAT A BEAUTY!

Kyle that is an awesome find.... how did you match the paint? Or did you just use a similar color? Do you have a picture of the switch and handle? I've never seen a square handle before.

That's gorgeous!!! What a cleanup. Can't believe that was all dirt!! What do you polish that with? Simoniz?

Thanks Kyle.... I thought the spots on the front were rust or something, but I guess they were just dirt. I thought sure you re-painted it! Does it just have a big rocker switch on handle like my S/P ESP does?

What about it was automatic? Do they mean height adjust or what? :o)
