I am using Micro filters for the intake and exhaust of my 2000 Electrolux Tango Z5001 with no complaints what so ever. The filtration has never been so good!
I bought mine Cut-To-Size made by ElecTruePart. I did buy a cheaper one which was the same but said on the packaging it was an "exhaust filter". In my experience they can be used for either intake or exhaust with great results. I'd say Micro filters are number 1 (don't even mention the acronym "HEPA" to me!), Electrostatic being number 2 and foam coming out at a poor number 3. I do actually have a foam intake filter in my 1999 Hoover Turbopower 2 and my 1993 Philips U800 but when the time comes to replace them they will be replaced with ones of superior quality. Why ? Well it sure as hell isn't for my health, I don't care about some dust, but for the motor's health since a poor intake filter means dust gets into the motor. |
