Brandon, the seller could be British, because I think the Brits tend to call every vacuum a "Hoover".  And don't they refer to vacuuming as "Hoovering"?  But I somehow doubt this seller is British!

Yes we do dont we - and its very annoying, as a Kirby Hoover is a contradiction in terms, it comes beacuse in the olden days Hoover was the biggest selling manufacturer of vacuum cleaners in the UK, and this went on for years, so they eventually colloquially became known as hoovers but without the capital H. This led to the verb, hoovering, meaning to clean with a vacuum cleaner. Its a great example of trademark erosion isnt it. Also amazing is the number of Ebay sellers here who call them Hovers - as far as I know the only vac that hovered was the Hoover Constellation

A "Hover" is a misspelling Steve unless I am otherwise mistaken.

It really irritates me people calling non-Hoovers "hoovers".

Even on eBay when I look at the Vacuum Cleaners and select the manufacturer Hoover it still comes up lots of other brands.

Generic trademarks get on my nerves to be honest.
