Since I have a couple of turbopowers I bought these "vintage" Hoover air fresheners off eBay in the "Spring Bouquet" fragrance, as you can see they originally sold for £1.49.
The guy who sold them to me sent me three packs of the disk air fresheners (I only expected to receive one disk pack.) He also sent me free of charge (not including the three Hoover disk freshener packs) five packs of Electrolux "perfumed air conditioning tablets" which was very nice of him. Both the Hoover fresheners and the Electrolux fresheners smell like the 90's, my mum did have a Hoover turbopower freedom and Electrolux contour in the 90's so maybe that is why I remember the sent.
Like I said, I chose the "Spring Bouquet" Hoover fresheners but I am not sure what the Electrolux tablet sent is, it smells like roses, or old ladies perfume.

I'll have to buy myself some of those, I love old ladies perfume... My goodness it sounds strange when you see it written down, ha ha.

Ahhh spring bouquet! my nan had a Hoover Compact in the 80s and 90s. Brings back so many memories when I get a whiff of them. Amazing how many of them have survived so long after they stopped making them.

Just makes you think how strong they must have been new if they still smell fresh after all those years.

I'd go and buy some of the said fresheners if I had any money, but I don't. Oh well, poor me...

They are on eBay as buy it now £3 for a pack of three and I think he has all three fragrances. You get a pack of three by the way.

I shall buy as soon as I have the "wonga" as the advert says.

Just now I'll treat myself by spraying on some of the old ladies perfume I keep hidden away in a cupboard, but shh, don't tell anyone!

I got some of these as well. He had a listing of one of each for £3, bought 4 lots! The flat has never smelt so clean!

These fresheners are much more efficient than the tabs you put into the bag because the ones in the bag get covered with dust and dirt and lose the ability for any air borne fragrance to get to the outside world.

With those ones they go into the exhaust grille and as such remain clean and able to convey a lovely scent.

As I said, I should really buy some.

I imagine they are becoming rare now, I'm certainly going to leave some of mine sealed up

Electrolux Air fresheners

The original UK ones were apparently, a stiff circular, white plastic grid.
Then they became sachets of granules, like a small teabag, with "Gardenia" fragrance.

These ones here in the foil wrapper are the New Zealand style. I cannot recall how I came to have some of these, but I did sell some in the shop. Inside the foil is a blue rectangular piece of plastic or rubber, I am not too sure what it is. The smell was nothing particularly exciting.

The white grid-style Electrolux freshener was known as Green Leaf, if my memory is not playing tricks on me. A good deal of Electrolux filters had a small pocket in which to insert this air freshener.
