I have a Green Windtunnel V2, which I bought in 2002, and it served me well over last ten years. I've serviced it myself a number of times, including complete dis-assembly of the lower unit, and a number of very thorough cleanings.
This is one of those Hoovers which has four (some people call them two) opposing rotating agitators.
What finally gave out was the gear assembly which transfers the rotation from the brush motor to the agitators. The plastic gears inside the gear assembly have disintegrated.
My original plan was to find, buy and replace the gear assembly, but by the looks of it, its sold together with the brush motor and it costs about $60. I see that some people out there really like the vacuums with counter-rotating agitator brushes, and I see that Hoover Windtunnel V2's have developed somewhat of the fan base.
I like vacuums for their engineering and utility, but I'm into something else at this time, so here comes the pitch:
I'm parting out my Green WindTunnel V2, and I will be listing parts on eBay unless someone is interested in whole vacuum, which with the exception of the agitator gear assembly is in good working order, and is in Fair to Good Cosmetic condition (see photo).
For the whole assembled V2 I'm looking for S75+shipping. I have extensive experience in packing and shipping my eBay and Amazon Marketplace sales in US and world wide, and I have never any issues due to poor packing.
By the looks of it, the parts might bring me up to $150-200 via eBay sales (I have a store, so I can list them Buy Now with Best Offer option and they will just sit there until they sell).
Anyone interested please shot me an email.
