Make a list and I will tell you yes or no. I was a Kirby Tech. for 15 years, so many vac's and parts I need to get rid of. PLEASE email me I hate to take them to the scrap yard. Hopester

Will sell this lot including the Spencer Turbine Jr. You will not find another Turbine Jr. out there any were. If you do it's this one. Help me, and I will help you. I need to pay my storage fees.

Kenmore & Singer Twin-Fan Parts....

kirbylux77's profile picture
Hopester, just wondering, by any chance do you have any brushrolls in good used condition for the Singer & Kenmore Twin Fan uprights? And 3 way (OFF, LOW, HIGH) power switches? Cloth outer bag that take F&G style paper bags? Trying to get some spare parts for my Twin Fan I have now, as I want to keep it running a long time.

Please let me know here what you have....Rob

Every thing is in the backyard of were i am staying, but i have to move it all in a week so i will look for your parts. P.S. hear is a photo of what i have to deal with right now, I'm lousing my mind. Hope

Do they run?
In what state is the bag?
Is the brushroll free (Does it turn)?

And would you happen to have a carbon brush for a Singer golden power master?

Hopester, thanks for letting me know! Please use my email address listed in my profile to contact me when you find the parts....we will talk there & make arrangements. Oh, and just so you know when you are looking, the brushroll I am looking for has two rows of brushes & has SQUARE metal endcaps....this is not the earlier brushroll which had 1 set of brushes & 1 beater bar & rounded endcaps.

Best of luck to you in your situation. I have been thru some difficult times myself in my life, so I can relate. Here's to hoping you get back on your feet soon.

Rob

It's nice to hear your words, I feel for anyone who has lost a job. I was raised in 32 foster homes & institutions and have been on my own since I was 14. In over 20 years of running my shop at home and running a Kirky Service Center for 14 years and another vac shop. I've only takin 1 sick day off. I loved my work and the dirt, well it came with the job. Have not been sick for about 16 years. Peace Out every one, off to find more vac parts for you all. It's cooled down now. Hopester

So sorry to hear you have lost your job and fallen on hard times. Been there myself, just 3 years ago the company I where I worked for 22 years closed my department and laid off 25 of us. I was unemployed for 7 months, worked in a factory 8 months, then finally got back in the printing industry, doing the kind of work I enjoy and have done most of my life. The 3 main things that kept me going through those times were faith, positive attitude, and a sense of humor, and I hope these will be helpful to you as well.
Here's hoping you will find work soon, whether it be in tech service or something else. Wishing you the very best of luck,
Jeff

Im not sure if you would be able to ship one to the states or not, but if you would, I'm interested in that old Hoover upright you have in the image titled pic #4. It looks like it could be a model 300 or something like that. I really hate to hear that you're going through hard times, I wish you the best in getting back on your feet and hopefully I can buy one of your vacuums and help out in a small way. Email me at vacman1980@gmail.com to discuss further. Thanks!

hopester,

You e-mailed me awhile back and sent me some pics of some of the vintage vacuums you have and I e-mailed you and said I was interested in them, and asked if you had anymore and I called you and you said you would e-mail me some more pics of what you have and you never did. I'm still very interested in purchasing some vacuums though. Please let me know if I can still by some from you! Thanks!

post from hope

Hi everyone, I would truly like to thank everyone from all that is me, for all the kind words and even just taking the time to stop and read my post. This is going to sound very crazy to every one but bear with me ok. Maybe it’s a blond thing, but here go’s. What I would like to do is go by the old honor system here, since March of last year I have lost the place I had been renting for 12 years, lost my sub-contracting vacuum repair jobs due to no home. Then I had to sell my 4/4 and Camaro to pay my storage fees. Then went the bank account. So with all that said this is what I would like to do. If any vacuum or parts, and believe me I will be posting so much more, that you would like to buy is going to be the price that YOU want to pay. We are all looking for the cheapest price out there; I understand all that so with fairness and honor you will pay what you think its worth. No quarrel from me at all. All in good faith that I have truly believed that there is good in all, just have faith. I have no way to pay my storage or even drive there if I could pay. They have been good to me for the past 10 years. My storage went up for auction last week and they put mine on hold and saved it for me. I’m going to post there name and address and my storage unit number you can just call them and say you would like to pay $10.00 on unit # 52. That’s it, what ever you want to pay is fine with me, tell me ahead of time what it is that you want so I can hold it for you thou. Then let me know when you have called them and give me your address so I can call ups for a pick up and you pay the post when it arrives. Does all this sound crazy? Yes. Guess I’m a little out of the box. Please let me know what you think. Hopester

I really hate to see you having to sell off your items to see your way clear of this hard time you're going through. While I agree that you're thinking outside the box on the payment being sent to the storage unit, I commend you for it! I am not sure if it's two separate Hoovers, but you have one listed in this posting: Post# 194910, Reply# 29; and one showed in this posting: Post# 195109, Reply# 37. If they are two vacs I would like both of them, otherwise if it's only one, I still want it! If you will hold them for me, I'll call the storage company on Friday and send them the payment, then I will let you know. Thank you!

The one in reply #64 is the right one. The other vacuum I was asking about was the Eureka Model G2 in one of the pics you e-mailed me. Are those two vacs name your own price as well? Please let me know! Thanks!

The vacuumguy96

Right after I spoke with you on the phone I had a gig yard sale, so I sold many things. I did sell the Eureka you asked about to a 11 year old boy. He has been by with his father twice, so I could show him how to put a new power cord and how to service the brush roll and put the belt on. Sorry. It went to a future vacuum collector. lol

Let me ask you this. If the vacuum you would like to get from me was your vacuum and you were going to sell it to me, what would you sell it to me for? I have had that Hoover for 21 years. Hope

Fantom Pics

Fantom pics 2.

Pic #1 runs good, it needs a belt, cord, and small hose repair. I put a replacement cord on the handle, I can't find the side filter yet? Only found one tool so far.

Pic #2 runs, but sounds like the by-pass motor fans need to be cleaned. It needs a cord, belt and the cord clip on the hose housing is broken. HINT... I take any black cord hook, lets say off a Royal, cut it off and use your solder iron and just melt another one on the hose housing. Hopester

P.S. Still have one more to clean up a little and part out the other one.

Let me first say that my name is Hope Isleman. I have been reparing vacuums since I was 23 years old. I have been on my own since I was 14 years old. I have one daughter, who is 30 years old, and 5 grand children. Just thought I tell you a little about my self. I ran the Kirby Service Center In Ontario Ca. for 15 years. The owner wanted to retire, so he gave me every thing in the shop. The shop had been open for 38 years. Soon after I bought a storage unit that belonged to a distributor. Then I worked for a man that had been the top Kirby sales and top sales and distributor for years. I also did repairs for Bob Harr owner of Kirby of Redlands until he passed.

So what I am trying to say is Kirbykid that you could open your own small repair shop, with all the stuff I have. I will pull it all out for you and take some pitchers for you. I will ask for $1000.00 for every thing, think about it. I will also say that it would be best to rent a U-Haul and have a friend, yours, mine, along with me to deliver them to you. I will also say to you that I will teach you all I know, through emails or web-cam. You have my word on that. Peace Out for now get back with me after you talk with your parents. Please let them read all of this thread. Hopester

how would i store all those kirbies without them geting damaged or paying 250 a month. and ontop of school. and im only thirteen. i could probably make the $1000 by the end of this year with christmas and the deli. the deli is where i work. make about $500 a week if my parents are working full time and i need the cash. but i have school and i need to get ready for school. so the next couple of weeks i cant work and if so, off and on. do you think you could store it all for that long?

Honey! Start putting this stuff on EBay. You'll make a fortune. Sell as "Buy it now". There are lots of Kirby parts I would like to ask you about. Vintage cloth bags, original cords, wheels, trim pieces no longer made. Your page is overwhelming, although I would like to just jump into those piles of Kirby parts and roll around!

It's every thing I had left from my home that would not fit in storage. I had a antique store owner come by this morning and we filled her truck full of my things. I made $60.00 for things I've had for over 28 years, she had a great come up. I can buy some food now. You can be paid 9.00 hour, box of cereal is $5.00 HELL

I made $60.00 for things I've had for over 28 years, she had a great come up. I can buy some food now. You can be paid 9.00 hour, box of cereal is $5.00 HELL

I would like to buy one of the Kirby G5s, one without that green lite on the nozzle. I'd also like one of the Filter Queens, maybe the white and red one. How much would you want for them? My zip code is 84108, do you know what shipping would be?
Best wishes and take care.

How much do you want for the metal Oreck fans and Electrolux book? I might be interested in the turbo nozzle on Reply# 137 depending on how much you want. I don't have cash right now but I can pay you in Amazon gift cards.

We're getting.....

down to the wire here with Hope. I'm sure she's frantically busy....but not responding to emails. As mentioned in email, I would want the LUX canisters & related stuff.  If it's now come down to physical removal by the buyer, I can't do that of course.

Re-The Spencer Turbine

Hi! I just wanted to put in a plug for your Spencer tubine; If you are selling it on e-bay, you might want to put it under the category of "Pipe Organs", "Organs", or Musical Instruments. I know that sometimes your type of vacuum there is used to drive automaton band organs and sometimes used in larger Wurlitzer theatre pipe organs to help drive the tremulants. It is practically the same blower as spencer made for pipe organs but on a larger scale...but there are some organ restorers out there. I'll mention it around the Theatre organ community. The great theatre organist from the forties, Stan Kahn, had over four thousands vacuum cleaners in his collection and he apeared on the tonight show with one or two vacuums that he included in comedy skits--where he would keep getting his shirt tail or his tuxedo tails sucked into one of the vacuums: Johnny Carson and the audience loved it! Maybe he is your long lost ancestor! You are a very remarkable person....and I can just imagine what wonderful things you will do!

Hope - just a reminder, since I've not heard back from you, about the old Hoover bags you we've discussed. Do you have them? Please let me know.
Thanks again.

She along with almost all the posters don't have an active profile. This hail Mary isn't getting caught.
This is probably the most impressive collection of vacuums I've ever seen. RIP thread.
