Assorted scuffs, loose parts, and a broken prong on the well-taped cord.

What I love though is how easy replacing the cord is on these models, 2 screws and there you are, ready to wire in a "new" cord taken out of the parts bin.

A bag change and a quick clean up. Still not a looker, but runs like a champ.

I have always had a fondness for the Panasonic/Kenmore uprights.

Nice find there!! I have a Kenmore Whispertone I found last fall that's even earlier than this one, the Whispertone Dual Motor, which was their first offering in the early 90's for clean-air uprights. Take care of that, & in particular, order a new set of carbons for the motor....I believe these were still using Ametek motors. If you replace the carbons & take good care of it, these will last a VERY long time.

Good find. I believe that's a late 90s model because of the Kenmore logo and the curved headlight. I had a BOL red one (not a Whispertone) from the mid 90s that a neighbor had found in the trash and brought me. I liked it but the brushroll was broken.

Does yours have the attachments with it?

Storms knocked the internet out for a bit.

Yes, it does have attachments on the back. They look like they were hardly used.

Went out early in the evening since I had to drop my son off at a friend's house, glad I did : )...it really stormed that night.

Had I made my usual morning drive, it would have been drenched.
