Hello guys,
i'm experiencing a problem with the painted bases of many of the Dial-a-matics (convertibles in EU) that I own, obviusly starting from the oldest:paint scratches and falls down. I am in trouble, should i be going to re-paint them ? They wouldn't be original then. I could find the exact colour and have them professionally repainted ( 5-6 in a shade of white and 4 in cream) or should I leave them as they are or shoul I protect them better from sun, heat, cool etc?
Did any of you ever experience such a thing on dams?
Any contribution will be much appreciated.
Tommy

if the damage on the paint isnt too bad, I would keep it original. But, if you must, use some paint stripper with a paint brush, and scrap it off. Then use the washing down formula to clean any of the remaining paint stripper from the machine. lastly, Go to your local hardware/paint store and buy some spray paint.
