Hi

Can I just ask, how do these cylinder vacuums without wheels move around?

Do you have to pick them up & carry them about or do they slide on the runners/ metal skids?

Cheers

Dave

Model XXX

Is one of my favorites.

Yours looks terrific.  I think, from the shading on the body, that it had a tool companion on it at one time.

Most of my vacs have some sort of sentimental connection to my life.  The Electrolux XXX is the vacuum my parents and maternal grandmother had when I was a kid.  I have resotred mine to look just like theirs.

My AF is just like one that belonged to a dear friend as I grew up.  Used one to clean at my first job.

My G is just like one that belonged to a friend as well.

My Kenmore Commander is just like the one my paternal grandmother had.  Scared the hell out me when I was little.  If they wanted me to stay put for a time they put me on the couch and put the Commander on the floor in front of me.  I didn't move.  But yet I was fascinated.

The soft sound of an Electrolux, especially the XXX, can trigger so many pleasant memories.

Best of luck!

Greg F.

Mo XXX

Looks good as a classic of classics should.Seems to have a 50s Eureka upright hose on the Lux end. This is not to take away from the XXX just add information. The hose itself is probably more rare than the Elux.I to have seen these used in younger days. One lady I knew moved the Mo XXX from a small house to their brand new ranch house and used until trading for Elux 1205.

The Panasonic Jet Flo, I am looking for the bottom plastic piece. I found it with all the attachements at a thrift store for $12.00 it came with a bunch of bags and had just been serviced!

The Dirt Devil broom vacs! The one on the left was my first vac. It needs a motor (let me know if you have one!) and I just bought the one on the right and it works great!

And the Electrolux that I picked up off a guy for $15 a couple of weeks ago, it also came with a bunch of bags!

That Dial-A-Matic is a beauty!

My paternal grandmother had that same model, as well as a Hoover Constellation model 82. Definitely a cleaner to treasure!
