Hi Can I just ask, how do these cylinder vacuums without wheels move around? Do you have to pick them up & carry them about or do they slide on the runners/ metal skids? Cheers Dave |

Is one of my favorites. Yours looks terrific. I think, from the shading on the body, that it had a tool companion on it at one time. Most of my vacs have some sort of sentimental connection to my life. The Electrolux XXX is the vacuum my parents and maternal grandmother had when I was a kid. I have resotred mine to look just like theirs. My AF is just like one that belonged to a dear friend as I grew up. Used one to clean at my first job. My G is just like one that belonged to a friend as well.
My Kenmore Commander is just like the one my paternal grandmother had. Scared the hell out me when I was little. If they wanted me to stay put for a time they put me on the couch and put the Commander on the floor in front of me. I didn't move. But yet I was fascinated.
The soft sound of an Electrolux, especially the XXX, can trigger so many pleasant memories.
Best of luck!

The Dirt Devil broom vacs! The one on the left was my first vac. It needs a motor (let me know if you have one!) and I just bought the one on the right and it works great! |
