Your Hoover 475 was the mid-range model of the 1935-36 lineup. The top of the line model was the 825 and the economy model was the 300. Although the bag is genuine Hoover, it is not the original one for that model, the original would have been black with orange lettering.
Can't say for sure about the Eureka, but I'm thinking it was made in the late 20's to early 30's. You didn't say whether or not they run or how well they run, but even if you did I couldn't put a value on them, as that can only be determined by what someone is actually willing to pay you for them. Hope this helps, Jeff |

Apparently your 475 dates from 1935(see link). The 475 featured in the video does not have the original bag either.
The attached photo will give you an idea of what an original 475 bag looks like. The 475 bag shown in the photo is mounted on an earlier Hoover model 450. CLICK HERE TO GO TO truckerx's LINK |

Congratulations on joining this forum today!
I think Jeff is more correct on the dates of your machines than I am. As he points out, they are only worth what someone else is willing to pay. My advice, as always, is to post them on the Ebay auction for 99 cents with NO RESERVE. What they sell for should be a measure of their true worth. Hope this helps and good luck! |
