Look what I found at a thrift store today.

Took a donation of an old over-the-range microwave to the local City Missin thrift store yesterday. Went back today just out of curiosity to find out how they priced it. It wasn't on the floor yet.

Spotted this Hover Convertible #U4369 along the back wall.  Looked super clean and marked $8.98.  Tried it out. Runs perfectly.  Took it to the cashier, so proud of my find and ----- IT'S HALF PRICE DAY!

Paid $4.45.

Put on a new belt,  disposable bag, and light bulb. Has a small nick in the cord, fixed with electrical tape for now.  Think I have a perfect cord somewhere.

A good cleaning and - voila!

Happy Fourth of July to all the American collectors!!!!!

What a stunning HOOVER! It's great when you get one so cheap which gives so much back in return.

These two are not thrilled with my fab find.

They're too busy supervising the redecorating going on.  Took all the woodwork out of the kitchen and hall,  stripped and painted wth wood and getting ready to repaper when the paper arrives.

Oh, by the way, that's City Mission.  I think I'm the one "missin" something.  Maybe I've inhaled too many paint fumes !!!!  LOL!

Happy Fourth to y'all.

I'll be painting AGAIN!     Laughing

Greg, that's a wonderful find!! Now you see, your good karma came back to you for donating that microwave, in the form of this lovely Hoover! Does this one take the A bags or C bags?

Happy fourth of July to you, & congratulations on your find.

Rob

and a good assessment of the cat.

He always looks like he's going to put the dog up to something!   We won't even mention the pizza-eating incident last Saturday.  Cry

Thanks, Rob.  I actually had the same model years ago and got rid of it.  Have alwasys missed it.  Happy to have one like it again.

Our cat, Buttons, sleeps too much to give me any evil looks.

She'll be 8 years of age on the 22nd of this month and is starting to look it. Her once pitch black spots in her coat are slowly turning grey.

Hoover Convertible

Nice! And possibly rare? Could this be low production or made for certain dept store?

I had...

the next model Allen after that one. Can't remember the number but it was a far superior sound to anything else around at that time.
