I've got a Miele Blue Magic, Model S336i. According to the Miele hose application chart, this machine is supposed to take an SES-105 electric hose with an external wiring pigtail on the machine end. On this particular machine, the aperture for the external cord is blanked out and it has an internal electrical hub that takes the SES-110 hose that came with it. It also came with a telescoping wand that takes an external cord. I don't know the Miele number for the wand, but here's a picture of it.

Picture of the wand where it connects to the hose. The wand is electric, but the cord is totally external. The coiled section (like an old telephone headset) provides for increased length during extention of the wand.

Then further down, the power nozzle that came with this rig is an SEB-204. It has a direct connect electrical fitting to a socket on the bottom end of the wand.

Okay, so the questions: Are there two distinct sub-models of the Blue Magic that take two different kinds of hose set-up? Perhaps an early and late? Doesn't the SES-110 hose more typically come with the White Pearl (S-444 something)? Were the wand and the floor nozzle I've shown in the pictures typically used with the Blue Magic? The manufacture date on this equipment is 1998. Thanks.
